The Extreme Alternative to Tut Towers

Post by ryallm » Mon Jun 18, 2007 8:32 am

I couldn't make it to TT last weekend which I was a bit disappointed about - the last one I did in 2005 was a blast. This year I had a rather 'interesting' prior engagement in Spain. It turned out to be ample compensation for missing TT as I have just had an absolutely mind blowing week, with so much fear and adrenalin I still feel like I am on mind bending drugs. Clicky here to see what I have been up to   . Turn it up LOUD!

Ok, details here http://www.freefalluniversity.co.uk/ I did a lot of research about where to learn to skydive and these guys are the best. All I can say is that if you are interested, just book it and do it. It streteched me absolutely to my mental limit at times, but the the buzz is unbelievable. I am hooked and am definitely going back out there some time soon.

I would really, really like to come, but having left Helen and Max on their own for the last week while I have been jumping out of planes I think a weekend at home is called for :(

I went for the full AFF course, 2 star hotel which was basic but fine, and booked my own flights with Easyjet (Edinburgh-Madrid). Think it came to around £1300, and I did a further 10 solo jumps. To put that in perspective an AFF course alone in the UK would be over 1400, and of course the weather is unreliable. Anyway, whatever it costs, it is worth it!

I am trying to figure out a way of going back out for a long weekend soon, so drop me a PM if you fancy it.

Dare i say it, not sure what the uptake will be like, and dependant on cost - but does anyone fancy a SE freefall?!

I know a couple of us have spoken about rather doing that than bungee, and it would be cool to do - i quite like the sound of a week out in Spain!!!

Mark, looks like you did your research, and looks like a good company!
