There was a serious crash off the start line but luckily no injuries. Steve Williams had contact with Simon Scuffham and this resulted in Steve spearing sideways across the track, cutting straight across David Skeggs. Unfortunately Neither could avoid contact and there was heavy contact with substantial damage to both cars.
This meant there were 5 or so laps under the safety car - then there were four or five laps after a rolling restart, but the race had to be stopped when a car ended up in the gravel at the bottom of Paddock Hill Bend.
Neil had a great race passing the remaining Class B entrant after the restart.
Andy started 7th in class (he had never driven Brands until qualifying) and had overtook BJ and Hans Baumhardt during the start, he had a good tustle with Hans, swapping places a few times, but ended up losing the place before the end of the short race and finished 6th.
Tomorrow's race is another scratch race rather than the usual handicap race - hoping not to have a repeat of todays events ...
Cheers,
Robin

will post race report later -
Qualified 7th finished 6th - too much sideways action - spoke with Adams and Page while getting a new set of rears. Not starting to high up today, goes of 2nd best qual time so have it all to do!
3 of us are seperated by 1/1000th of a second.
Neil took the class B race win yesterday in an incident filled race (class B carnage
), which was a bit of an anti-climax after the build up to it. We are up in front of the DTM crew for a driver briefing (read bollocking) for the carnage in race 1. Cam worked so should be able to share some of it with you!
Plus side - no one was hurt - we were under saftety car for 9 laps - then raced for another 4/5 then it was over! (red flaged for another incident!)
Could see third, but trying to get there meant my view of it was becoming more and more frequently through the side window.
If you get to see the race watch Walshy's car control when he got clipped off the start - the boy is a bit special!
Wished we could have joined the TT07 crew last night - but suspect as i post this, your just heading for kip
