Kirkcaldy Esplanade!!!

Post by EliseR » Sat Jun 02, 2007 1:44 am

Wow - I had no idea so many boy racers could all fit in one place!!! Me and a friend decided to drive Edinburgh > Coastal Route to Dundee > Forfar > Dundee > Coastal Route to Edinburgh.

We passed Kirkcaldy Esplanade on the way, all quiet. Had a chinese meal in Forfar, and enjoyed watching boy racer after boy racer fly past the window. On the way back, when we passed through Kirkcaldy Esplanade, all hell had broken loose. I must have seen in excess of 50 stationary hot hatches with their music playing, and another 20 or so racing around the streets!!!

I had a little fun driving through, couldn't help myself.

Gary.

Gary

There's a few of us on here from Kirkcaldy and we'd rather not tell anyone what happens on the Esplanade at night (apart from the Links Market every April)! The place is a nightmare at the weekends and well worth staying away from! Do not return! You have been warned :D

It's a lot quieter than it used to be!

I must admit I used to go down a fair bit  (getting on for 10 years ago now) when I first passed my test and had a Nova SR. At that time the modded car scene was just getting big and there used to be literally hundreds of cars there every weekend. There's a massive car park at the B&Q end which used to be full of cars but the police have stopped anyone from using it now.

All the Chavvy mags used to turn up every couple of months and it would be chaos. People doing burn-outs etc. When it got that silly and people started driving like dicks was when I decided I was too old and grown up for that!

Thinking about it brings back memories of 'back in the day' though!
