F1 Monaco Qualy

I missed Qualy, so have gone on to F1.com to get the results... and am baffled as to why Coulthard does not appear to have gone through to Q2?? He's down as posting the 6th fastest time in Q1...

As of yet I can't see any qualy report to explain.

Anyone see it?

what an ejit !!! and his time in Q2 was good enough to get him to Q3 as well. Monaco of all places.... thats his race skuppered.

He starts 13th, they deleted all his times from Q2 which somehow put him in 11th then they gave him a 2 place penalty. :?

Got back from KH and watched it Lewis was soooo close to pole just got traffic in his last hot lap

I can't figure that one out either Simon... I saw he had been dropped to 16th originally, but has now been re-classified as 11th. His Q2 qualy time was 8th quickest... but obviously he can't start there because he was not allowed to participate in Q3. So, I can understand him being dropped to 11th because he was booted out of the top 10 and they gave his Q3 place to the man in p11 for Q2.

But to then get another 2 place grid drop seems particularly random.

I would have thought they either delete his Q2 time (starting 16th then).. or uphold his Q2 time, but as he did not participate in Q3 (and the race director allowed Button instead), he be dropped to 11th.

This sport just gets stranger by the week.
