Geo what a difference !!!

Post by CSK_423 » Mon May 21, 2007 1:09 pm

After having the rack changed I bumped the car into Kenny Browns for a full geo, collected it on friday in the pissing rain so decided to take it up the road and garage therefore never had a good blast in it due to weather and it only being a 5 min trip.

However yesterday was a lovely day for some top off action, popped over to the folks got the car out, gave it a good wash then went for a wee blast up towards erskine hospital for some pics.

I thought the car handled well in the 3yrs that I've owned it but there was a MASSIVE difference after having the geo done, it felt alot more positive steering into the corners and in general alot sharper again the new rack probably helped also. I didn't think something as minor(well I thought it was minor!) as a geo could have such an effect !

here's a pic also taken from Sunday, more in the Gallery

I asked in the other post but probably best to keep it all in this one, what was the cost? I am going to need to get it done next week after new suspension and with the new tyres on. Did you specify settings or leave them to it?

JJ I didn't specify any settings I let them do there thing, to do the Geo it was £80+VAT meaning a total of £94. as I had a new rack fitted and the tracking was out a mile it may have taken a little longer to tweek ie labour time, you may find it's less for yourself.

I ordered it from Bell colvill around £420 if I remember rightly :? I then returned my old rack part ex for £100 so in theory the rack was around £320, my mechanical mate fitted it for me, bunged him £50 I think, I'm getting hitched to his cousin so he's nearly family

I know you can get it cheaper elsewhere but it was speed and convience
