Grin factor

Post by Rich H » Thu May 17, 2007 10:28 pm

Grinning again!

After defecting to the Porky side for a couple of weeks the pig is currently awaiting a dizzy (Arriving tomorrow) so the Liz got a run today for the first time in 2 weeks.

I now appreciate the Elise so much more! The shift is short and accurate, the steering is light and agile, the clutch works (!), all the electrics work, I have power and torque again and I can overtake things!

It has washer jet that work ;)

It also has a roof that comes off :D

And an engine that will do 6k rpm without sounding like I'm killing it (too much)

For sounds of it the roof of the porker would come off too if you could get it to go fast enough

Nah, the shell is solid, it's the bits bolted to it that are the problem.

This weekends job is to drill and tap and new fill/level and drain plug hole in the transmission... The plug was nearly round when I got it. Now it's totally round  I didn't even bodge it I got a proper 17mm allen key and everything.

I even have permission to work on the car form SWMBO, as she wants to take a load of crap to the tip in it. It's the most practical option out of Liz, MX-5 and Porka!
