... got to agree, some nice styling touches inside.

The S3 must surely be arriving soon - S2 styling is 7 years old now & basically unchanged.

The Tesla is the future of motoring.

It may not be the Tesla, but it will be something like it:-

Light (we all know that is good)
Cheap. (100k USD is 50k UKP. For that much new tech that is astonishing, and if it is as good as it looks well worth it.)
Practical. (Well for years we have used an Elise as a main car, albeit one of two we still do 10k a year in it. It is eminently practical, those that thinkit isn't need to seriously consider the way they pack to go anywhere. I have seen the tesla slagged for a measly range. 200 miles is not measly. It is sufficent)

I can't afford to buy one, I can't afford the risk in being a new adopter in anything that expensive, but if I could, I would.

I agree that 200 miles is not measly but at the same time, id like to get home on the same day. What they need is a way of a quicker recharge (without having to install three phase).

I haven't heard anything in relation to an S3 - all discussion seems to be on Esprit replacement and new 2+2 but surely S3 (or substantial S2 upgrade) must be in the pipeline or Lotus could find themselves with diminishing interest in what is by now an old model. There are only so many 'specials' and paint/ trim upgrades they can produce before they start to suffer from loss of interest in the range.
Lets face it the Europa didn't really get customers queueing up to spend their hard earned.

Yeah guess so. I'd struggle to justify changing to an S2 but if a new design came out......

.. have had reg since 1991 - has graced various Lotus models - 6 different ones so far. Currently on a silver 111R. You won't have seen it recently as it is currently 'living' at J.M Perth. Have seen blue VX several times but never when I've been in Lotus so haven't waved as it just confuses!!
