This is a new one on me, never heard of this model before, anyone got any details of it, did a google search but it only came up with the no.16 S1 that had the windscreen removed

I know it is being sold by one of the guys on the Ferrari forum who also has a 246GT Dino, 328 GTS, Testarossa, Porsche 356B, and a 993 C2 Cabrio so I assume it will have been well polished if nothing else!!

IIRC there's only a couple of them as they were prototype colour schemes that never became a full run.

I'm not sure about that model, but I know when I bought my S1 111s, Graham told me that it was due to be called a sprint, but someone else (triumph?) has that name, so lotus called it the 111s.

As far as I know the only Lotus Sprint was the windscreenless model:

Nice car though - but I think it's been an "inspired" car than anything from the factory.
Bet DDtB likes it

From SELOC ages ago:
First seen at Brands hatch at the official launch of the S1 Exige a yellow and white and a blue and white S1 There is a green and white 190 featured in a round up of the different S1's done by OLC mag Lotus Life . I understand the factory did them as an experiment .

Yup!
It would be a good way of hiding the stone chips on the lower part of the front clam too

Yep Sprint was to be the model designation on VVC engined S1's, became 111S when it was pointed out that rights to the Sprint tag were owned by GM via Opel IIRC.
Not a bad effort it seems. V V limited factory specials may well have a niche in future. Original 50-vehicle homologation runs like S135 and S160 cars could be in that bracket too one day, if not heavily modded from "original" spec.
But I bought mine to drive it...someone else can restore it to "entirely original 1999 S1 specification complete with cloth seats and wheezy 118bhp engine" when I'm gone
