For me screen to be replaced (autoglass use them to take the front clam off)
Well, it went in just after 9am...
The autoglass guy phoned me at ~10.30am to get a CC number for the ins. excess cost - said he'd be there at lunchtime....
Got a phonecall from MMC at ~3.30pm to say that he had just left, but they can't put the clam on as the screen needs to set (pish IMHO - the clam is minimum 5mil away from the screen everywhere) and it's too late

.....
It took me 10 minutes to put it back on the last time I did it FFS, and that was the *first* time I'd done it...... (MMC service says it shuts at 5.30pm)
Will get the full story when I pick it up tomorrow.... And will publicly say if they give me a good explanation. Will also say if I think they've fscked me about.
As for tonight, will have to go out on the lash and pull for the sake of a warm bed!

Shugster, as soon as you start describing things as newfangled, your days are numbered.
Slippers, pipe and Volvo are calling you....

FFS...
The saga continues:
Just off the phone (as I've heard f-all from then since 3.30 yesterday).
Have now been told that the autoglass guy fitted a chipped windscreen yesterday and then buggered off! Guy in MMC service then phoned him last night to tell him, to which he replied "I thought the trim would cover it!!!"
So, autoglass guy is expected in MMC this morning (not arrived as of the phone call) to put ANOTHER screen in it...
Okay, MMC not to fault so far... However - distinct lack of customer care. No appraising me of the situation - I should have got a phone call last night telling me what was going on - after all, I need to get home tonight! Also, when I expressed my annoyance ("Okay, I left the car with you just after nine yesterday - can you tell me if I'll get the car before Monday?") I got a curt "Well, it's not my fault"

FFS, pathetic...
Anyway - the real target is Autoglass - so, I'll be setting them in my sights as soon as I get a contact number for them.
I'm waiting for the service guy to call me when the sutoglass guy arrives... wonder if he'll bother?

Autoglass fit a chipped screen? I bet it was MMC chipping it whilst trying to refit the clam!
Aaaaaanyway, how was last night?

Heh, was jesting about the pullage - had actually planned to go out climbing last night, which I went ahead with (by blaggin lifts from mates)
Got home on the train (again, to station via a blag)
On the lasheroonie tonight in Troon though (not as horrific as it sounds) - which may be a bad move as the g/f flies up first thing tomorrow....

Update:
Colin at MMC Glasgow has phoned - good attitude and no problems with him at all. Informed me that Autoglass have brough along ANOTHER chipped screen!!!
So, I won't be getting the car back 'till Monday. This is 100% autoglass now. Still not chuffed with how MMC Glasgow have been dealing with me, but they are trying to rectify now. Have also got contact at Autoglass who I'll try and nail down for an explanation...
Incidentally, this does not reflect at all on MMC Edinburgh. I've been in contact with Pauline there, who is mortified with what has gone on and is doing her best (despite it technically being nowt to do with MMC Edin) to sort things out and get some truth out of the situation.
The saga continues.....

Last update before the weekend:
Pauline has been kicking arse! Tried to extract a hire car from the insurance, but no go as it's so late on a Friday. So, she's got MMC Glasgow to put the clam on at least so I can drive the car this weekend.
Autoglass are now liable for their f**kups and will be supplying me with a hire car when they source a new screen - which will be inspected by MMC before I'm informed that it's in.
Moral of the story - forget the Glasgow muppets, you want something done, call the main woman!

You should have been trying to get whatever demo car they have at glasgow for the weekend!
