CR Gear box no thanks
after fitting the mgtf box ( std ratio lower diff ) I can highly recomend it
I have over 175 bhp but came across the c 4bp box on e bay and as it had only done 1000 mls ( ex write off and only £40 ) I took a chance with the gearing, even though most folk said 1-2 too low 2-3 too wide
the gearing matches my engine perfect
very quick take off then drops into the torque band perfectly on all other changes
4th will give approx 120 tuts@ 7000 rpm but even changing into 5th at a ton tuts will drop the revs to 4500ish right into the highest torque band
3000 rpm = 68 tuts
3500 rpm = 80 tuts
and my engine will pull 5th at any rpm
I now think the C/R box would off been too low and std too high
maybe C/R for a 120 bhp but any tuned k's and the tf box suits

std ratios but 4200 dif hence a % lower drop across all gears
