In trouble with the Malaysian government for insulting the Perodua Kelisa:-
"he said its name was like a disease and suggested it was built in jungles by people who wear leaves for shoes."

I reckon we won't see him back on the BEEB.
He is clearly not happy about something, saying all that negative stuff re a new series of Top Gear.
I just hope he returns on another channel who are prepared to put up with his politically-incorrect views, which many of us either agree with or find amusing...or both

Good on him I say, bugger social responsibility. If I had anything other than the miserable stipend which my firm pay me then I’d be off to somewhere with nice weather and a minimalist approach to tax for a few years.

How many days a year is he allowed in the UK Dominic? What is happening with TG? Last series was only about 4 episodes? Guessing JC filmed Good Bad & Ugly when in US doing the road trip episode. When's TG due back on the box?

If your'e in the country for 183 days of the year - you're resident and taxed in the UK.
However if you're in the country regularly for at least 91 days of the tax year - they'll try and tax you as well. (though if in those 91 days you're ill or there for other reasons outwith your control - you won't fall foul of the 91day rule!)
So stay abroad for 275 days!
