Spanners and hammers ABZ

Post by thinfourth » Tue Apr 03, 2007 7:11 pm

Got to change a diff joint on the landy

Involves dropping the nose of the diff off the axle which is a heavy lump then lifting it back in place which will be great fun

Anyone want to come and play at the secret motorsport facility?

I've got zero technical ability and no muscle but I could hold some spanners if that's any use.

When were you thinking?

No so sure

but need to do it before sunday when i have an offroad event

but saturday i need to move a sh*t of concrete slabs

friday i am delivering uldis's new drive

Thursday i might be picking up uldis's new drive as the quarry is probably shut friday due to easter stuff

maybe i should get my finger out

i think putting the diff nose back in might be the tricky bit though i have access to a forklift so i should be able to work something out

basically it is i have the tools and the space if anyone else needs any wee jobs that need doing but i am not an elise expert

though i think Obi must be due a spanners and sponges soon

My inlaws are up for the weekend.

Let me consider for a tenth of a nanosecond.

Yes.

Did I say yes? I meant yes. Or maybe just yes.

Campbell

NB - tenth of a nanosecond is one tutosecond, for info. Measured as the time it takes one Tut to pass a Sunday Driver.

NB again - The time it takes one Tut to pass one Scotty or one McKean is called an ofukotutosecond.

I'm concreting the garage floor on one of the days - but would love to be involved in the stripping of the caterham - would give me a much better insight into the mechanics of it all.
