Bodywork repair, How much ? (pic)

Post by CSK_423 » Thu Mar 22, 2007 12:31 am

I now have the new rack on and the next part to be rectified is the front clam, I have been quoted £250 to repair the damage in the pic, does this seem about right ???

I would have thought so as it's around 100-150 for a respray of front clam is it not :? but thought I would check with others on here

Sounds like a pretty good quote to me mate. Thinking about it, its got to be about a days work? So £250 incl materials sounds not bad. As long as its a good job of course, and not a "get what you pay for" number.

It's obviously done as a homer for that price, but the lad comes well recommended, although there is always risk involved in this case opposed to putting it through a bodyshop. The clam is off the car so that includes him picking it up in renfrew and dropping it back off to myself when finished, I would rather re-fit it myself anyway

Remembering that I paid over 200 to repair/paint a really minor crack behind the number plate (squished a big Hare) a couple of years ago I would bite his hand off at that price. :D

I'll try and post some pics over the weekend
