Red Excel burning !

just seen a Red Lotus Excel on fire in Rutherglen main street
did someone on here not have one ???

Was it parked and someone torched it?

No sorry, it was parked in the bus lane in the main street, obviously some mechanical/electrical failure thats caused it

It's a shame to hear that about anyone's pride and joy - and I can't think of anywhere worse TBH.
If it had made another few miles to Cambuslang then it might have had a chance due to the fire station being close by

A fire engine turned up just as the flames had finished up, seemed to be mainly the engine/bonnet area that got it, it didn't sweep through thr car

Bob Dickson the area organiser from Club Lotus has a red Excel. Im sure he lives down that way. Gee thats scarey.

Stew, I thought it might have been Bob too. Thought he lived in Ayr but s'pose it's not that far away.
