Post by Sanjøy » Mon Mar 05, 2007 2:23 pm

Cannot find the bugger, sure someone posted about a replacement that was not the £50 unit from Geary.

If not does anyone have one handy ? Left one needed.

Cheers

Should we be concerned as to why you need a replacement headlight?

Sanjoy

I was probably the last one to mention this. See here http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... highlight=

I decided to take a punt and put it in for an MOT this morning. It passed with no mention at all of the headlamps. He did say that the drivers side handbrake wasn't working and the brake was sticking on a wee bit on that wheel so I will need to investigate that. I had also put the cat back on, boy is it quiet :( 8)

I decided to buy new lamps anyway and will now fit them at a later date. Thanks to Haggis Catcher for the tip. I bought them form D & A Motor Factors (Dundee) Ltd for £24 + VAT each. Miles cheaper than anywhere I could find on t'internet. They are boxed and sold as Valeo (P.N. 460118) but when I took them out of the box they are branded as Cibie. They look identical to the ones that are in at the moment.

Probably a job for a nice warm spring weekend.

Cheers

On the back of Stewarts insight...

Anyone interested in a wee group buy for those long winter nights ?

Hi

For 10 lights we could do it for £10+vat.

Cheers

Hi

The price on these lights is £26.50 each + vat.
They are out of stock at present but I should have some coming in 2 weeks.
If you would like to confirm the order I will place them on order for you.

£11.70 for a headlight? I bought a new one recently from Nick Rossi at £25 but still need another one. Both N3's are rusted.

Bloody confusing. I presume now that delivery is £10 for 10 lights, and not the price of a unit?

Sorry for the confusion, the German chap fell through and I need one so pegged a couple of online suppliers on the back of Stewarts posting.

£26.50 each + vat from this chap and £10 +vat for say a job lot of 10 that I thoguht the group might be interested in.
