I'm thinking that as the weather is getting better I should really take my hard top off, plus it should stop the usual 'big poof' comments
As it was MMC that fitted it a few months ago I have no idea how to take the thing off, I assume it's rather easy but is there anything I should be aware of first?

I took the g/f away to Peebles Hydro for her birthday last March. Took the elise. Woke up in the morning and it was like a scene from The Shining! (an outside scene with lots of snow next to the big hotel)
Had to stay another night!

Get the thing off David!!!
It's great when you get a wee surprise with the weather and you're able to just pop the soft top off and into the boot and drive home in the evening sunshine!

I'm so glad I never got a hardtop now. I've the roof off several times over the winter and I just wouldn't have been able to with the hardtop.

Mine's been in the loft all year - the soft top can take it and has better gutters - so no drips in the car.
Means you can go topless in Feb :
and enjoy these views :

You passed me on the M9, I can confirm the roof was off.
