Mileage on your baby

I've owned by Liz since September, roughly 2 months now. Since then I seem to have racked up 3k miles, and I'm loving every minute. I was getting a wee bit worried, firstly coz I told the insurance company I'd do 5k max a year

, but then thought that my baby is sat on the 35k mark (for a 1999 T).... I surely can't keep on going like that or I'll never be able to sell her!
Any of you guys racking up the mileage, choosing to enjoy the motor than care about residuals? I was in 2 minds... then thought feck it, whats the point in having a car like an Elise then not enjoying it!

30k or so.
4 years on December 12th. Not alot of miles this year due to working away - with the exception of the 3.5k we put on it during this years holiday.
Mainly now a track car for me.

Bought at 33k in May, now at 39k. mine is a 99 as well.
As long as you didnt buy it to sell on again, sack the mileage! You bought it to use it!

14.5k after a year and a half.
Only really use it at weekends, never for commuting.

Its mental!!
Certainly aint watching the miles, driving it as often and as much as possible!

Mine 2001 S2 had done 8900 when I bought it in Feb 05 and it now has 13k on it - I think I have "free miles" to use up!

The previous owner/owners should be shot, 8.9k 4 years, what the fcuk did they buy the thing for.

Very true! First owner put less than 3000 miles on it in over 2 years. The last owner wasn't so bad and clocked up the extra 5-6k on it in about a year and changed the cambelts before he did so! I think I'll beat both of them though!

...err, well the clam and sill were a factor in the negotiated price.
Not the rad though, that happened after I sold it...same for the rear shocks, heater fan, clutch etc....
