seems like every other member is now junk. do these bots monitor traffic, and once it gets to a certain level start slamming us? :? I'm sure a year ago there wasn't half this amount (although maybe i just wasn't looking....)

There is an anti spambot mod available for PHP (dont know if this is installed here) which stops most however many new ones are now being registered manually. You can minimise it but I dont think there is any way of completely stopping it.
