thankfully missed parked cars and everyone else behind had stopped........really gave me a shake.......cant think of anything except oil or something on road....seriously wasnt travelling at any speed......im still far too new to the car......so please dont
anyway.......managed to spend quite a few hours cleaning it over the weekend and when i can find my camera pc lead

roads are slippy this time of year, but to spin at town speeds is bad news. Need to be more careful.
Or just blame the car

I know exactly the bit you mean, even I have been known to partake of some amateur drifting in the dead of night at that bit.
Its a pretty old surface at that corner so if it was wet it would be slippy.

JJ - ive felt Saab barges slip there too. Not making excuses at all, driver error. Took car into work again today, trying to get miles done to 'learn' the car. Just practicing the slightest throttle blip to move about and little wheel movements.Learning to

'properly' again.
At the time....was still a bit

Hey... glad to hear you (and the car) are unhurt. Bit dodgy just now with the changing road conditions (damp/dry/damp/ooohh puddle/dry). How many miles you clocked up since getting her? I've only just crossed the 100 mark today due to weather.

seriously though....
... welcome to the club! Same thing happened to me - gives you a slap in the face to respect it!
what tyres are you looking at?

When you say slicks... do you mean 'bald', or A048's? I'm on the look out for a spare set of S2 K-series alloys (cheap) so I can stick some tyres on that are more suited to wet/damp and keep the A048's for summer/track.
Spare sets aren't coming up too regularly... and they are always down south for collection only

Had fun today learning the beemer and its DSC thingy. Permits a couple of degrees then reigns it all in. Disconcerting intially when it takes the accel from you. 60mph sweepers at the top of 3rd (turd diesel) and the rear will drift out and rather than holding it out there at all it always brings it in with a wee shimmy. Need to see what it does in the snow.
