Looking to go for a holiday in Italy.
Need somewhere with a beach and plenty things to do during the day.
Child friendly.
Going with friends so we will have turns about babysitting - so boys go out for a night out and vice versa.
Any suggestions?
Early thoughts are Sorrento but don't want to end up in a place full of grannies.
Cheers

Where in Italy (nlc)
every where in Italy is child friendly.
Another option could be Tuscany , the beach resorts at viareggio and round there are good .
p.s If you do holiday booking by yourself you can get there via ryanair
prestwick - Pisa or Jet2 via edinburgh(MAy- Sept) then book your own accom, Hotel. Villa. Airport to coast only 1/2 hour drive and if you hire a car there are some great roads in the mountains behind ,again a 1/2 hours drive away.

I've been to the Amalfi Coast a couple of times (Sorrento and a small fishing village further round the coast.)
I thought it was a great place, and I aint no granny!
Relaxing by the pool, day trips to Capri, Positano, good food everywhere, driving about (! that's an experience.)
However, granted, there probably isn't much to keep kids entertained.
A lot of areas in Italy don't have beach resorts, and a lot of areas don't have much in the way of pubs either, if that's your cup of tea for boys nights out.
So, in summary, don't really know what I'd suggest!
