I had a look round it when I was at the crow road AC a while back - must have been at least 5 months ago. Think it was 12988 then, it looked OK condition wise, a bit tired inside. Its only 5mins from me if you wanted me to take a more serious look round it.

If you could that would be great.... It's not for me but for wanna be Lotus Elise owner. He did find out that the car has no service book... would be interesting to find out more about that too.

Hopefully the car doesnt suck like AC. Wouldnt take a warranty from them or get them to service the car...

I would be REALLY carefull dealing with AC. They are a bunch of crooks. I have had far too many bad experiences of them to think any thing else. You'll be sure they paid considerably less for the car than the advertised price (i.e. 3 or 4K less), so I would not think the car could be that great. Happy to have a look at it if you wish a second opinion. If buying from a dealer, then surely Murrays would be the best bet? IMHO.

I looked at this way back in September last year. Wheels need refurbished and there was blistering on the rear passenger wheel arch. Salesman did not know anything about the car so I walk away.

I posted that link as a friend was in AC for some interior warranty work and was told her front tyres were worn , she was quite worried as she was skint. I looked at them and there was a Minimum of 3mm above the wear markers left . At the last service she was told all 4 were worn and illegal . She took the car to Quick Fit and was told they were all fine and legal .
I dont think its an isolated case either .

Ditto what everybody else has said. The car's been there for months and the colour combo's not great either.

Oooh, it's got 'body coloured bumpers'.
But no four wheel drive? Dammit.

My mate had his Golf in for service during the week there, and was speaking to me about it... as he saw it. He was wanting a 111s, and called me to find out the differences etc.
He chatted up the bird on reception who said the previous owner had a lot of bother with it.... not sure what bother... but just so you know.
I also had loads of probs with AC in the past... although... that was with MG's... (their prices for sales weren't bad though...)

i bought my elise a couple of years ago from arnold clark in aberdeen, luckily the car was ok and i already knew its history, i dont think arnold clark would have been interested if there was any problems. and they had no idea what they were selling, i asked what the 111s was compared to standard and his reply was, its 111bhp model.

. i seen that car advertised months ago and the colour combination put me off.
