What's the newest flavour in home insurance?

I'm with Direct Line currently and on each renewal they are bringing it up.
No claims, no bad history, premium just keeps increasing.
Inflation they say...

Any good recommendations?

Got the lot through Direct line - have been very good, Buildings and Contents plus 24 hour emergency response for anything!

£36 a month on a 200k property, not too shabby considering the cover, however next year i am sure i will be moaning and shopping!

D

Think I pay £55 pcm for both my flat and neighbours, ~£700k as per their sale a couple of months back so pretty good deal. Need to hpay the Gold accoutn £7pcm for 3 months and then move it back to std accoutn once you have the home insurance. Well that was the plan, had that feck of an accoutn for 6 years now.

AA for me for both Buildings and Contents. Buildings cover through AA for me is roughly 1/3 of the 'next best'. Been with them for the past 8 yrs.

Don't leave that any longer than you have to. Our insurance (halifax - thru Intelligent Finance) were great after our recent break in. Thing was, when I first found out we had been burgled (Louise called me) I was unsure if I had any contents insurance. Horrible feeling. Luckily I did. Phew!

After shopping around at renewal after the last home insurance thread I found Zurich to be the cheapest with the best cover.

Lots of good advice there, AA and Tesco I'm already with in other things so may get a good price.

Cheers! :D
