beat me to it! Having now read a bit more June launch in the US, and Q4 this year over here, so no need to panic!

This is something special though, by then they will have released the new iPOD as well, just in time for Xmas....

and said chunky new Nokia is your current model? I sold my first one of them whilst trying to save some money to go round the world before Uni, 5 or 6 years ago!!

It is funny, for some they are just for making receiving calls, others a complete fashion icon oh not forgetting all the essential new features they pack them full off!

Also check this....http://www.apple.com/appletv/

(Think it's an age thing Neil. Ask a passing 5 year old to show you  )

Hell the Nokia costs buttons and makes phone calls. All I need

Totally bomb-proof too. 8)
And after this long we've kinda bonded :beer

But mmm that iphone is shiny

Hmm.

WiFi. Bluetooth. Flash based music player. PDA and phone and yet only 1/2 inch thick.

How long will that battery last? An hour? 2?

Can't afford it so will slag it off faction.

will be expensive and it lacks the simplicity of the Ipod which made that duch a success. Also, the 'phone market is much more grown up than MP3 market, and people will (I may eat my words!) think twice about spending that amount on a gadget!

There's a HUGE thread on this over on blatchat, people getting very techy with heaps of jargon ref the plusses & minusses - I couldn't resist a highly informative:
It's for poofs & poseurs IMO

When I start my high powered job at CarPhoneWhareHouse as a human answering machine you get free upgrades every few months.

Being a phone numptie (Maybe not a good start!) what top of the line handsets are worth a look? I have the SonyEriccson thing with the guzround bit on it (Not the black one and no memory card) Seems pretty good but I'm not going to pass up a free upgrade!

PS I want to phone people and send text messages. I take the odd pic and don't listen to music on it as yet.

At around £300 it seems expensive but everyones forgetting that most new mobile handsets cost at least that and the price is subsidised by the line rental etc...

I think it will be a nice piece of kit!

On the clip I say of the unveiling Ross, the price was on the basis of a 2 months 'subscription' - I thought that was line rental and hence the subsidised price?
