Harris Hawk, cool. We were at Center Parcs in Penrith last Xmas and I booked up for the Bird of Prey experience. The guy showed us eagle owls, falcons etc. but the highlight was the Harris Hawk.
It could fly upside down to catch food and chase it along the ground. Eyesight is amazing, spotted food at 400m from the top of a huge tree even on snow covered ground. I couldn't see what it was after and I was 3m away!
The guy was telling us a story that while he was doing this demo the hawk swooped in then changed direction, folded it's wings in and went through the mesh in a deer fence and killed a rabbit for lunch!
Seemingly these little birds fly so fast that when they hit their prey that's it! I'm sure they have 2 eyelids, one clear so they can see at high speed? Just what the Caterham guys need
Cheers
