xbox 360 - how loud!!

Thought a plane was going to crash on my house....so loud...then I realised it was the xbox.
Is this normal or is mine about to explode?
Game music is quite loud so it sometimes drowns it out but if you were using it to watch a DVD it would ruin the film.
Gears of War is awesome tho

You certainly cant use it as a home entertainment system, wouldn't want to watch movies on it unless it was very remote
GoW is first class have you played on line yet?
General comment whats your gamertags, or has this been done before?

Just played it last night for 10 mins....pretty much died right away.
How about PGR3? I'm not bad at that...we could play that online?

yeh PGR3 will be fine, my bro likes a bit of that too, send friends request and I'll catch up with you some time
also played a lot of CoD2 but thats been replaced with hours of GoW and not too sure yet about CoD3 but come on the 'Forza2' and /or GTR

GOW rocks! Getting quite far.
Problem so far is if you go in the dark these bats eat you. I tell this soldier to stand still in the light but he follows me into the dark and gets mauled and I fail the mission...it's serious stuff!!
Tried to get Xbox live working last night using my 1 months trial but it's not accepting my redeem voucher/promotion code

Mine is very noisey when the games start up but its fine for DVD playback .
Battlefield 2 is a great game .

ohhh ours are black! but bloody noisy!
interestingly when my 360 is inside the TV cabinet which is in no way sealed at the front and completely open at the back the noise vanishes!
