I drove my mates vx220 turbo....but unless the suspension is upgraded, like the standard S2 is too soft , and floaty for my liking.

The fact i drove it back to back with an Atom may not have helped issues either :D :D

You drove the wrong one Andy - the 2.2 is 100kg lighter and a lot less soggy. 8)

Yay! All forums have the NA vs. VXT debate sooner or later. I'll summarise how it always goes in this post to avoid more typing for other people

Noob: "Which is better, NA or VXT?"
NA Owner: "NAs are better, lighter, more balanced"
Turbo Owner: "But Tubbies are faster in a straight line"
NA Owner: "Yeah but they have a lump of pig iron in the back"
Turbo Owner: "You're just jealous cause your cars slow and can't overtake"
NA Owner: "But your cars floppy on the corners"
Turbo Owner "So what. Torque is king on the road, and I can get some Nitrons fitted and still whip your butt"
NA Owner: "Will this be before or after you bin it on a roundabout because of your lardy backside?"

Smartass1: "You're both wrong. Get a VXR"
Smartass2: "You're all wrong. Get an NA and supercharge it"

This is played out, oooh about once a week on the vx website. It's a riot there, honest :D

I have to say the VX is a glorified S2, I had an N/A and loved it, mainly because i made money on it when i came to sell it 12k and a year later! :P

However, as standard it was a little dull, certainly plenty of torque in the 2.2, but to be expected, I have to say was never once tempted by a turbo version.

Dave

P.S The badge snobbery here is a true reflection of a Glenalmond education!

Round a short twisty track like KH the n/a is probably quicker :D
You need longer straights and high-speed corners to make the Turbo work for you. Imo of course.

Btw Ed, I don’t recall you complaining about the badge on my car when you were drifting it round the hairpin! :thumbsup
