Finally back on the road...

Post by offshorematt » Wed Oct 05, 2005 10:08 pm

Finally, after nearly four weeks trying to arrange a fix, got the car repaired today. Needed a new cam belt pulley and alternator pulley and hence got a timing belt change at the same time.
Sourced all the bits for the job then waited over two weeks for a mate of a mate to get enough time to do the work. Only thing was, he never showed up when he agreed to. Phoned Autoquick in town yesterday, towed it in last night and it was ready just after lunch today. For less than the homer was going to cost...
Could have had the car back in time for the SIDC trackday in September if I'd done that straight away.

I've used Autoquick in whitemyres for years & have always found them good.
