Am loathed to bad mouth a firm without personal reason to do so (especially since you seem to have had good service C5tto) but I personally wouldn't touch bavaria with a sh*t stick. Have heard numerous horror stories of tyres getting stolen & gash ones being put back on....I know they took the warning bulb out of my mates 944 dash & told him they'd fixed the ABS...Rough as a sack of chisels. IMHO

Sounds about right.
Out of the city, I'd recommend 3 garages - Gordon Smith at Daviot nr Inverurie, C&M Macdonald in Oldmeldrum or JD Motor Engineers in Insch.
C&M Macdonald are an MoT station and they're happy for you to kick about and wait. The other two garages will do the work and arrange an MoT for you. JD might be a testing station now but they weren't at the start of the year.

Cheers guys.
Banged it into Autoquick yesterday and passed, so I'm happy!!!
Tuscan,
Are those places mentioned good with the Elise? It would be nice to know somewhere in/or around ABZ where I can get things sorted if i needed. Took it down to Dans

for the service and Cambelt, but dont fancy having to take it down everytime I have a problem.

Aye, Macdonald's have worked on my car plenty and they're fine. Gordon Smith at Daviot is fine too - no worries with leaving the car there.
JD Motors is run by a couple of petrolheads - John is a hillclimb man, well known for his exploits in various Westfields and the like, Dave is a Mini-man and both of them are spot on.
The handy thing with them is the railway station is about 50 yards from their workshop so you can drop off the car then get the train back into Aberdeen. No messing about with lifts etc.
