Road Trip Espana (Andalousia)
13 days / 5600 Km (3500 Miles) September 11 to 23
Day 1 : Ozoir la Ferrière => Bages (near Perpignan)
Crossing France thru the "Massif Central", Highway A75 is free from Clermont Ferrand to Monpelier and with very nice contry sides.
Only the Millau bridge is with toll.
Day 2 : Bages => Lérida
Beautiful roads thru Pyrenées
Road in Spain are very smouth, never bumpy.
In Lérida, stop at the Hotel Paradores in an old nunnery, absolutly beautifull

Day 3 : Lérida = > Alicante
An other nice road from Lérida to the Highway
Day 4 : Alicante => Cueva Aventura
A long way thru one of the biggest national parc in Spain
A more desertic landscape :
Then we arrived at Cueva Aventura a bed and breakfast in a Troglodiic Dwelling.

Christian and Laurence, close friends, leave France 7 years ago and created an original Bed and Breakfast in an old Cueva (Spanish name for a house dig in the mountain)

All was ok, i change oil and filters before and my only fear was for a flat tire.
So i take 3 foam tire and a repair kit

Day 5 : Visiting GRENADA
Visiting L'Alhambra, a fabulous castel and palace.

Day 6 : Frolic in Andalousia
Baza => Seron => Bacares => Velefique => Rambla Honda => San José

Nice trip across the Sierra Baza with amazing roads and mountain pass up to 1800m.

ive been to Granada and Sierra Nevada 4-5 times now, i hope you drove up to the ski resort? I cycled it many moons ago. but not driven it in anything apart from a hire car.

No, we didn't drove the ski resort but other nice roads.

As you can see, the road is very smooth.

Day 7 : Frolic in Sierra Nevada - Part 1
Baza => Gorafe => Guadix => La Penza => Quentar => Grenada
Departure from the Bed and Breakfast to the desert of Gorafé :
Desert of Gorafé is a Western like desert, many film where made here.

Day 7 : Frolic in Sierra Nevada - Part 2
Grenada => Orgiva => Torvizcon => Cherin => La Calahorra => Guadix =>
Baza
Mountain pass of "Puerto de la Ragua" 2000m
Very nice road with a beautiful view of the valley
Day 8 : Cueva Aventure => Ronda => Seville
Ronda is a nice Town to visit

For the first time, the road between Ronda and Séville is very bumpy and it was very painfull in the Lotus.
Day 9 and 10 : Seville
Allow 2 days to properly visit the town and all monuments.

Day 11 : Seville => Salamanque
The highway is so bumpy on the right lane, we are oblige to ride on the left lane even if it's forbiden.
Salamance is a very nice town to visit with huge monuments :
Typical delicatessen in Salamanque :
Day 12 : Salamanqua => Bidart

Better roads but with heavy rain until the border in "Pays Basque"
And 1 other day to cross France until our house.
At the end 5600 Km (3500 Miles)
Andalousia is a very nice region in Spain, we really enjoyed this Trip.
Now planning an other trip France => Croatia !
