Scottish Elises

As per the title.
After a few interesting moments on the Sweeping Up The Leaves run, I think it's time to replace the tyres (S2 Elise)
I'll probably be sticking with the Toyo T1-R, but just wondering where folks are buying tyres from these days.
I've looked at the usual places (black circles, etc) but if you know anywhere else worth trying, let me know.

Another vote for Ronnie! He has a place a Knockhill now, so can be quite handy.

Also, might be worth looking at Yoko AD08r. I changed from toyos to them a few years ago and have been impressed; they are good in the dry, and wet, seem to be quite durable, and are fairly inexpensive.

I changed from T1-R to Yoko AD08R a few years back too and continue to be very impressed with them.

The T1-R was absolutely perfect when a full set was a touch over 200 quid, but at near AD08R prices I wouldn't touch them now personally.
I bought my last set from Blackcircles, basically because they were cheapest, and they are reliable.
If you're buying online (obviously arranging fitment elsewhere), I've also used and would recommend Camskill, and Boss Tyres. I've used all 3 a few times and are happy to go back to them.

As others have said, Ronnie is great too, I've used him in the past (a few years ago now) when he was offering mobile fitment - not sure if he still does though. I've only used him for fitting though, never bought tyres from him.

Have used Pneus online and you can search a local tyre fitter who may also accept delivery. However I would only use a recommended person to fit tyres.

I use R D tyre service in Glasgow as they are competitive on price and more importantly look after your wheels.

I haven't used them but Tyre Leader seem to be competitive for some makes/ sizes.

Blackcircles and fitted with their mobile fitter as Kinger recommended them. Very good.

Yoko AD08Rs from Demon Tweeks.

I invariably use Camskill.

A bit of internet browsing this evening (it's a bit of a minefield out there).
It looks like Camskill are currently coming out on top at £204 for a full set of T1Rs (delivered but not fitted)
The Yoko AD08s were quite a bit more - over £200 just for the rears.

Out of interest, if anyone is using AD08s on the front of an S2, what size are you using? I've got 195/45R16 on the Toyo T1R, but that size doesn't seem to be available on the AD08.

Think you have to suffer 175 fronts with AD08

Or get wider rims to take the 205.

I'd buy the Toyos at that price tho

I don’t think ad08’s come in a 175 that’s just the ad07’s.

Ad08’s are 205 or 215 from memory and wider front wheels required for them.

Stick with the toyos if you like them.
