We've been made aware that a number of you are having issues with logins, where it's displaying the "max attempts" screen and asking you to answer a security question and click the re-captcha.
Just a quick post to say the mods are now aware and Ironside is investigating.
If you do have tech issues with the forum, please let us know ASAP so we can look into it.

Top effort from the mods, and thanks to "Ironside" for his work on this.

I interpreted this as logged in on two many devices. I logged out from the site on one device and it solved the problem.

I also get the URL for the car image, might be my work browser which is pretty locked down.

Logged off and then on again. Worked again, thanks again to all that make this work in the background. Simon I obviously mean you not Shuggles.

Cheers Flanboi
Seems it's something that was potentially happening since the forum upgrade, but as we'd gone with a different security setup (just the recaptcha) it's possible that it wasn't clear that the login was defaulting to the security fallback every time. With there being a big spam incident a few days ago, we'd gone back to our older school, seemingly more robust Q&A that required a copy and paste of a URL. This is never intended to be an "every time" action at login - only on new sign-ups, or too many incorrect password entries.
So, when we went back to that, it was clear that there was an issue because it displayed every time - not just when people had entered incorrect passwords too many times. Seems the cause has been found and fixed, so full thanks to our tech admin Simon (Ironside) for jumping on it and sorting it while at work.
