Edinburgh - Galashiels A7 - Snow?

Travelling Dundee to Galashiels tomorrow morning, to be there by 10am.

I've no real concerns as far as Edinburgh, but south of the bypass on the A7 looks like it could be affected by snow.

Any of the SE Massiv travelled that road this afternoon, or live in Gala or its environs?

TIA :cheers

Wondering if it'd be worth borrowing my old man's Evoque (on 20" original tyres) or is that really gonna be that much better??? (Not taking the TVR lol)

I hear that there is a lot of snow south of Edinburgh, also with a little snow this morning, outside of the city centre, Edinburgh was a very slow moving car park...... took me 50 minutes to travel 6 miles get to the Gyle from near the city centre at 08:00.
I’d give yourself plenty of time tomorrow.

M9, M8 & the city bypass were gridlocked this morning.

There's only an inch or two around Edinburgh but some parts of the Borders have had a foot or more, although I think the west was worst affected.
