What year did Lotus stop using the Rover Engine and start using the Toyota Engine in the Elise?

Roughly, it wasn't a straight cut off. 2004/2005.

You will see up to 05 plates of both not sure the exact dates but was suprised BigD had a 53 plate 111r can't be many of them about.
I had 54 plate of both at same time in same colour, for some reason the 111s felt more comfortable although they had same seats and dashboard.
Work mate is thinking about getting an Elise in the next year budget under £20k, it will take me ages to talk through the various models and confusion of names, engines and power.

I have a friend looking too, but budget is slightly less.
