Thinking about getting a hot tub and was wondering if anyone has any contacts or advice on the subject?

From experience, probably best not let your little brother manage the chlorine levels or you end up with burnt testes!!

We bought a Hotsprings Envoy tub way back in 2005. 12 years later and it is still going strong and has only ever needed 2 call-outs to fix faults.... and that is running 24/7, 12 months/yr. I can't remember the exact cost but it was relatively expensive as Hotsprings are one of the premium brands and after doing tons of background research we made the decision that everyone who said not to buy a cheap one must be right.

Friends of mine also have a large hot tub store between Dundee and Arbroath http://www.thegrizzlybearhottubcompany.co.uk/

It was Wendy who actually wanted one and I really expected it to be a white elephant and hardly get used. However, I think we use it about 3-4 evenings/week in summer and more like 5-6 evenings each week in winter.

We got ours from Oasis Spas in Motherwell. 01698 254550. Ours too runs 24/7 /365 and gets way more use than I ever expected it would. IIRC it was circa £6k but (despite my original misgivings that it would be a waste of money) worth every penny. You do need to do regular water checks to keep the levels right but it's a 2miniute job every couple of days and it means it's always ready to use.

Busy doing homework on the subject at the moment. Pumps quantities and specs,jets positions,tub size,seating arrangements,water capacity regarding heating bills, prices, maintenance requirements, etc.

Don't get too focused on the jet positions, seating arrangements etc. Once the novelty wears off to some extent you spend more time sitting/floating/flobbing across the various seats than actually sitting in any one position. Same with the jets etc. You can get so caught up in thinking about what they do that you don't appreciate that when they are on it all turns into a bubbly mush anyhow. Most of the time when we are in ours the jets are on the lowest, almost background, setting or else you can't talk over the background noise.
