Sat Dome Help

After a very frustrating day getting confused any help would be much appreciated.

I had a snipe dome sat fitted to the motorhome in Jan, I also fitted a new TV that would decode the sat signal to provide freesat. It worked once.....the day the TV was fitted in Jan on my drive. We used the van last week, no joy and I've spent this afternoon updating files and reading manuals and retuning (its back on the drive where it worked fine before). I seem to have a signal but it can't find any channels, not sure if this is equipment, dish position, transponder or TV related. I suspect some important setting has unset itself and without some knowledge its not going to work. The trouble is if I can't use a saw or a hammer on it, I'm pretty much lost.

I'll take it back to the fitter eventually to check it out, but if anyone in the Aberdeen area knows their transponder from their skew angle and would be able to advise I'd really appreciate the guidance.

First thing to note is that there are regular reconfigurations of the Freeview multiplexers, and I believe there was a fairly major one earlier this year. On DTT this tends to go unnoticed but can be a little hit and miss on some sats. I personally noticed some problems about a month ago. It may come good in time, or with an upgrade, but I would go back to first principles and reset the TV to factory settings and start again. The aerial too, if that is possible.
