Looking for a s/c Elise (S2 or S3)

Post by Mikem7709 » Sun Mar 12, 2017 10:35 pm

I'm looking for an Elise supercharged if anyone knows of anything coming to market?

Preferably in a bright colour. Ideally a club racer but anything considered.

They're all too busy enjoying them, Mike!

May be worth a word in the ear of Craig Moncrieff at CMC. He has lots of connections and is offered Lotuses fairly regularly.

I think the answers that you got on SELOC pretty much covers the situation Mike.

Great cars, owners are keeping them and prices are going up.

And mine, the RGBs for me must be the nicest spec factory cars.

Don't know if it was a wise buy or not. The previous owner took it to Germany for a year before bringing it back and the car is now showing as an import on HPi, will speak to the dealer about it tomorrow.

If it's been cared for it won't matter. Rare and desirable edition of S2 Exige. :-)

Thanks Campbell, story checked out 100% and a quick sense check with Craig but my mind at ease.

The car was registered here in the U.K. For export to Germany as the owner had a work posting there. PDI and running in service done at B&C before the car left in 2011. 2012 service was done at Lotus Leipzig (Sportivo) then it came back to the Uk early 2013 and was serviced again at B&C, 2014,2015,2016 and now 2017 all at B&C too.

It's only covered 4K miles since 2013 and has some mods I would've carried out on whatever I bought, so I see this as a good saving. Jamie was also good enough to adjust the price slightly given I may have to explain the story to another buyer in the future.

I think it's the right car for me and am looking forward to a Monacco trip in June 8)
