Is it possible to remove a thread from the visible list?

You can ignore a person but I don't think you can do the same to an entire thread.
Happy to be proved wrong though.

And which thread? (I'm intrigued).

What I mean is, when I select a sub-category on the forum, all recently contributed to threads appear. let's say I've created a thread which annoys, offends or generally drones on too long, spoiling your happy outlook, I'd like for you to be able to remove my thread from the visible list. This way, because we're not ignoring each other, when we post in other threads, we can still enjoy each other's contributions.

Nah. PHP version for browsers not that advanced.

Tapatalk offers a bit more control though.

Would be a great feature, but sadly we're at the mercy of phpBB as this isn't self-developed forum software and we try to keep 3rd party mods out of it as they have a nasty habit of breaking stuff unintentionally.

Just don't open the thread to read it.

How about a politics sub forum to keep those who muppets just want to rant about the SNP and the same tired sh*t every day ...away from general chat.

Some folk don't actually post anything other than Sturgeon rants anymore so no idea why they come here. Isn't there a politics forum elsewhere on the Web that they'd be better spending their time on ....where someone might actually care what they have to say!?

Great Idea.

Exactly. There are surely places to get a real debate going rather than a handful of people repeating the same thing over and over again (yes tut, I am aware I can not look at it and so was Ewan)

I am not a Moderator Stu, but I would not have thought that there was a problem with adding a separate Category named "Politics" if that is what a number of Members would like.

Just don't click the thread.

Or if you can't help yourself, just ignore all the people who disagree with your opinion

There's arguably too many sub-forums as is.

There have been several that were created to split out interest groups on request that haven't really seen that much traffic. Whilst I totally understand the frustration about some of the political posts and posters, it's not something that usually runs and runs. We see a block of posting when something like this happens, then it dies down to perhaps one running thread (that you can easily not click on)

If there's a major groundswell of opinion that wants one created, of course we'll create one though. The above is just my thinking about why we haven't to date.
