Anybody got a nice S1

Post by Kinger » Sat Nov 19, 2016 10:47 pm

Afraid S1 111S is no more, totally gutted.

It came to quite a sudden stop on the A90 earlier tonight. A guy in an Audi S3 lost it coming out of a sharp slip road on the Forfar bypass and hit my back wheel sending me into a 360 or more spin, it went into the barrier backwards at 70 (ish) spun round again and went back into barrier front first. It managed to bust front and rear suspension and nearly everything else. On the upside its still got a good driver's door and boot lid.

The guy got charged with dangerous driving but afraid its no consolation. Big plus point was has the harness on and it really did a good job but shoulders and hips aching

Totally gutted, loved that wee car. Just going to get pissed.

Cheers guy's. At the end of the day the outcome wasn't that bad. Car's replaceable and just a few ache's is a good result.

Agree with all the previous posts and glad your ok as that's clearly the main thing!

That said I am really sorry that's the end of your S1 as I've got some really good memories of us having some cracking stints on various tracks with the two S1's.......

Bloody hell Kinger, I was not expecting to read about this first thing today. I am really gutted for you and I cannot believe it has happened, but the main thing is that your ok. You will find another car and you were due a change anyway as its been a few months since your last purchase. Joking aside, I am glad you are not injured and the car and harnesses did their job in protecting you. You had a cracking 111s which you clearly loved and you will soon find another one. I hope that the insurance claim is resolved quickly for you.

Steve.

Gutted for got Graeme, that was a lovely wee car, but goes without saying at least you're ok.
