Thanks to John Reid, my namesake, for the tip re throttle bodies. Bought the 52mm from Elise Parts and fitted it today - it does make quite a noticeable difference with the response 
and almost caught me out 
Some driver training urgently required
Now i've sold my other car and am a bit less stressed out with that it would be good to meet up with some of you. I'll keep an eye out for the Edinbeer meets as I work in Edinburgh and its my home city so i like an excuse for a night out there. Hope you don't mind me joining you one night for drinks sometime soon
