She's a keeper and take very good care of her.
As for the wife, give me a ring and I'll come around and help you pack her bags!

Feel your pain.
I've an outdoor tap in the downstairs loo, short story; it's handy. Had washed the bikes yesterday, needed to be somewhere and Joanna was waiting, so I asked her to disconnect the hose to save me time. Apparently I was also supposed to tell her to turn the tap off before disconnecting the hose. No idea how she managed to unplug it, with the pressure on it's not easy.

Sorry to hear this. In your wife's defence, I recently reversed my merc up to the front of my elise.... you know my state of the art merc that can park itself etc.... well I was using wing mirrors and relying on parking sensors. The order of noises was firstly "crunch " then "beeeeep". Would seem maybe the elise is too low / too plastic to be noticed. I was raging! Thought I had smashed both my cars at once! Thankfully was very slow and not a mark on either car. Hopefully you get off lightly too. And a reminder to us all not to rely too heavily on tech.

Must be a 3 series thing. My Mrs did the exact same a few years ago. Luckily she reversed at slow speed into an old banger of a car and person came out and wasn't in the least bit bothered and our car was unmarked. She claims it never beeped and we had the 'you don't just rely on the beeps' discussion. Hope your Elise isn't too badly damaged.

Oh no, that is not good news. On the bright side you did say it needed a respray... Probably easier ways to get it done though!

Sorry to hear Mark. My neighbour did exactly the same to mine a few months back. Must have walked between the two cars then reversed his Merc ML (with parking sensors) up the bonnet. The armourfend ripped but luckily saved the clam from any damage. I hope yours isn't too bad.

recently a female neighbour with a new Honda CRV drove over the top of another neighbour with an older Civic that had just been resprayed. I've never had a car with parking sensors and obviously not missing anything, more trouble than they are worth from reading the above posts.

The sensors on the Golf are a tad intermittent...

It's easy done, even with sensors, I end up ignoring mine, reversed into the bin the last time.
