Scottish Elises

We are in the process of buying a brand new exige s from Murray motors: we have our name down on the 07 exige s that is about to arrive...................

But there is also a lovely one in ardent red on display: want to make sure we are making the correct decision so would like to come and see someone with a chrome orange exige.

Seen thousands of photos many times and heard they are stunning but need to see it with our own eyes : Before we blow 40k!!!


So if anyone within about 50 miles of stirling is kind enough to come and let us visit there car , just to see it for 2 mins in the flesh (or fibre glass!) that would be most helpful !

You can pop up and see Gareth as he is now the proud owner of a Chrome Orange Exige, however a little further away than 50 miles - good run up though, although you will have to put up with his chat!

Is the ardent red one 07model or 06 - I love both, although can sadly at this point afford neither, but the Orange is pretty stricking and probably the only car i like it on! Dare i say it but maybe better resale?

I would be hard pushed to choose also!

Anyway, Chrome Orange is the colour to have!
You will not be disappointed. Stand out from the crowd.

My 111r is Ardent, and i love it.

Orange is just a bit too OTT for me though.

Have seen an Orange Exige S in Edinburgh though, and you certainly won't have anyone fail to see you

My 2p worth is that Chrome Orange is the only colour of s2 exige I would go for personally. I think they look stunning (for an s2 Exige of course )

PM sent. I used to have an Ardent Red Elise but prefer the C.O on the Exige. The AR is a little bit Ferrari-wannabee for me

Yeh we have paid our depoist and its coming from the factory so its OURS.......But we arent getting it till next week and today we saw the red exige s and it was just so mean and bright!


So think still going for orange but i need to see it before being 100 percent sure

Dealer says as long as he does sell the red one

Both 07, we could change our mind at any point as the CHROME orange was on order as they are so desireable or something.......


Just need to see the Chrome orange in the flesh, everyone says its looks absoluetely stunning and im sure it does but going from the photos it does, but i didnt like the ardent red in photos and then i saw it in real life and WOW! it looked almost completely different:

It stood out so much and the red grills really work well

Also if you look at the press release pics in the brochure from lotus each one looks a different orange cause of the settings they use

I know you didn't ask for opinions, but then again I seldom need asked to express my opinions

I think red is pretty cool but often with S2 exiges I don't realise that they are exiges until I take a closer, longer look. I think the red can look a bit averageish when they are not sparkling clean and polished. However, I saw Jamie's at Knockhill a couple of weeks ago and he had spent sometime washing and claying it and I have to admit that it looked stunning. The red contrasts beautifully with black trim wheels/tryes etc.

With regards to chrome orange, I always imagined that it was perhaps a colour that looked cool in the showroom under the lights but may look a bit naff in the wild. I completely changed my mind when I went to see Lee & Mel's car. In my mind it looks even better in the wild.

That said, I still think black is my favorite colour in S2 exige.

Black Exige . . . absolutely gorgeous!

I have a silly question (as usual!) . . . do all S2 Exiges come with black wheels? Don't think I've ever seen any other wheels on them. Just wondering how a black one would look with normal silver wheels?

Pop into MMC and you'll see some with silver wheels.... the S2 Exige S comes with them as standard as I understand it.... looks good, but doesn't look right on the black if you ask me....

Exige S doesn't have black trim tho unfortunately - colour-coded splitter, intake and rear spoiler so may not look at all like jamie's.

The rare Exige Cup has silver wheels too;
