£25 MOT in Glasgow

Post by tenkfeet » Fri Oct 20, 2006 2:41 pm

I have never felt the need to plug a garage before but I Just got my car through its MOT at a place Car Care in Thornliebank which charge £25 for an MOT . The retest was £12.50 bargain I think . I expressed my concers and they knew how to jack the car and had a low ramp .

You get a fair MOT IMHO my harnesses and cracked windscreen got through fine .

I was a bit suspicious as many places advertise a low price then the car fails on wipers / light adjustment or other trivia and they charge a fortune . I took my Polo ( when they only charged £20 ) and needed new indicator bulbs all round . Here we go i thought time to be screwed but they only charged £10 for bulbs and fitting , which I thought was OK . A guy at works car also passed for £20.

I have not had any work done but when I have been but their customer service has always been excellent and prices sounded OK . A woman with an old civic was £130 for a full service and new front brake pads . The guy said they dont need to try and rip off people.

They are always busy and its best to book a week in advance . Tel 0141 638 8848
