Found this today, inner drivers seat seatbelt mounting. Bracket has fatigue failure crackalong about 2/3rds of its length . . Not ideal in a shunt . . Worth a wee check for the high mileage folks . . Just about to TIG it back together . .

Blimey. I've had to bend a bit of a seat frame straight before and after it straightened with ease summarised it was made of cheese.

Worth a check for everyone, maybe. My '04 S2 bracket went the same way when the car was less than 3 years old. Found it when I investigated a slight creaking in the seat back. Took it up with Lotus and fair play to them, got a free fix at MMC.
