Blade Artist - New Irvine Welsh book focusing on Francis Begbie - not his best work, but mildly entertaining nonetheless.

Brookmyre's crime series worth a look too ("Chris" as opposed to "Christopher" denote these books) - While the Parlabane novels are good, it's nice to see some new characters being developed.

Working my way through the Brookmyre stuff at the moment. Might try Welsh but struggled to get into some of his tuff.

Edinburgh based, basic crime novels. I'm three books in and enjoying them. :)

Quintin Jardine's 'Skinner' novels, based in Edinburgh/Lothians and well worth reading.

I didn't know,but that is my fallback on my ebook. (Stiff Upper Lip Jeeves is on R4 iplayer at the moment. I think Briers and Hordern may be the best Jeeves and Wooster).
