S1's were made for nights like these

Post by Kinger » Tue May 24, 2016 10:08 pm

Wife is away so I went out for a wee drive after work, cracking night and empty roads so just kept going and going. Out to Tarland / Ballater / Gairnsheil / over the Lecht to Tomintoul, round the Grantown loop and back home over the Lecht again. A magical night in a magical car. :D

You're starting to sound like Tut. Should we be worried?!

Love that road, the Lecht is only about 40 minutes from my gaff - it's my default for a wee drive on a fine night :)

A nice night for it.

My S1 is curently having a bit of a tidy up, and will be moving to its new home in Pitlochry for the summer, so sure we will be able to meet up sometime for a wee S1 run.

I had the 211 out for a run last night, not far, but good fun.

nice moment to get out indeed... although I don't like those new rusty steel monuments next to the traditional stormy stone one. Spotted them 2 weeks ago while up there on a late Sunday sunny afternoon run too.

I am in Norway and my car is still at CMC, but fixed and awaiting collection....my choice to have it stay down there by the way....

Any volunteers to run it up from CMC to ABZ in the coming days so I can keep Kinger company on his late night jaunts??

Myself and Hendeg cycled that road on Sunday, but our cars would have been a better option. Lol.

Nice pictures Kinger and hopefully we can head out for a run one night sometime soon.

Taking up cycling may be good for your heart, once the refurb is complete :-)

Lycra and clippy-in pedals optional.

What about real softies in A5 convertibles, or is that a step too far?!
