Interesting read. I bet they would of put their clocks forward last night. :oops: Luckily a Sunday.

Used to hear that a lot in Glagow in my youth.

Quite common to hear. Did you "knock her up" . Which then involved hiding from said girls father and brothers.

Of course that never happened to me, but bet you would have heard that a few times Tut. :lol:

I don't think we had Tappers in our street, but I do remember the lamp post gas man coming around with his pole to light them at night and put them out in the morning.

The wifey's also used to run out in the street with shovels to collect the horse manure for their gardens.
