id love a sequential dog box with straight cut gears... just makes a car sound like it shouldn't be allowed on the road. savage. do they not need quite regular rebuilds to keep the dog rings in good shape, i.e. horrifically expensive to maintain?

depends on just how good the design and manufacture, although they are nothing like as fit and forget as OEM syncro stuff.
There are a few EP ones in road cars now, and as yet, none have been returned for overhaul yet, obviously the ones on race cars are having scheduled maintenance, but even a full re-build is not horrific in money terms unless you start eating parts, and if you set them up right with pneumatic shifters etc, then dog wear is next to bugger all.
be interested to see how much this new ones for the V6 costs? )EP have been looking to mate theirs to the V6, really waiting for a serious customer)

Figure I have heard for the Kaps box is around 8.5k - 9k with all the gubbins, obviously fitting and integration on top of that.
I believe you have to supply them a box to convert though as they use the original toyota bell housing to mate their bit up to. Uses original drivesahfts.
Rated at 900nm… impressive if true!!

I thought it was only €20k so quite a bargain at just under £16k
Quite fancy that and the 460 kit although I'd have to sell the car to afford it which might not work.

Imagine that gearbox in the 311

and soon enough Komotec will be producing upgrades of 500bhp for that car too I would imagine.
