I think it's good news, the guy is clearly a petrolhead - he also has mass appeal.
Evans - good
Harris (is that still happening?) - good
LeBlanc - hmmm, probably good

Harris today confirmed he's shutting down his youtube channel (4 more vids to come) and followed it up with.....
I am now working on a new project which I hope to be able to tell you about very soon. It will involve me making videos on the internet which you won't have to pay for
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.
....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Can't help but think that Matt LB will be a disappointment - hopefully I will be proven wrong.

I'm probably in the minority that would prefer LeBlanc to Harris. There will be a cast of thousands if they're all presenting, I think we're up to 5 now

+2, Harris said he was giving up the YouTube magazine stuff last year did he not? Would certainly make the programme more bearable having Harris on board!

He gave up the drive subscription channel, but then did his own thing for a bit. He's now winding that up too and hasn't publicly commented on TG rumours..... So i think he's almost certainly involved.

This.
I am trying to get the name Top Gear out of my head, this is just some car based programme by Chris Evans and pals and might be worth a watch. Will give it a try.
I don't for one minute expect it ever to reach the same level as Clarkson, Hammond and May.

LeBlanc will certainly maintain some global appeal. I suspect he'll be a good foil a la Hammond.

I seem to be in the minority that thought Top Gear was amusing for the first few series and then got really, well, crap. For years and years and years.
Long overdue a refresh. There's still going to be an entertainment show with clarkson, Hammond and May, I wish people would stop bitching - they just have to watch on a different media. More choice has to be a good thing, no?
Rumours are that Eddie Jordan is the next presenter to be announced!

I think that Joey will do OK.
Third one not named yet, would love to see Sabine who would dick them all on the track and has a great sense of humour, but then I am biased.

Leblanc was on Radio 2 this morning - banter between him & Chris Evans was good -they were like excited pals planning a weekend away

Bodes well!
Is it true that Chris Harris is to be a presenter too? Or was that just a rumour?
