There seems to be some speculation on SELOC about this one as it quite cheap and PM are renowned for high prices. Maybe the first penguin to jump in the impending used Exige S3 price crash. I guess now I know why the residuals were so bad (lotus bad) when I was looking at buying one new on a PCP last year. Hopefully won't affect the S2...

There is a post on SELCOCK about it

It appears to be an old Lotus tyre testing car for both road and track

Might have had a hard 1,700 miles but agree does seem cheap like the budgie

not good for V6 residuals...........

I've seen quite a few Exige V6's for sale around or just under £40k, though none as new as this.
@Rawsco....... What makes you think there will be an 'impending Exige S3 price crash'?

I Follow the Exige market thread on SELOC, seems the consensus is that there are loads on the market and not shifting and thus prices too high. Maybe the dealers are holding the prices up for the spring and lotus financing the used stock. Most folks on there seem think that deals are to be had at significanty under ticket price. I've been watching with interest as I'd possibly go to a v6 after next year but I think my cash is safer in the low mileage s2 I have.

Definitely makes sense; I've been keeping an eye on the Evora market, particularly Sports Racers and they seem to be in the opposite space, demand seems to outstrip supply.
Any good examples seem to get sold before reaching the market with virtually all going through dealers.

There is a V6 on MMC IIRC around 40k mark , surprised nobody mentioned it .... what am i missing here :D

Personally I find it encouraging that there could be various V6 options in the 38k - 40k range in the next few years. Looking an my ideal S2 Exige S it was going to be in that region anyway .... not that I can afford it right now but I like to plan ahead.

Exige V6 is probably a victim of good finance deals on new cars making them more attractive than low mileage second hand and general seasonal downturn for the type of car.
