New wheels. No Lotus content tho

I first saw one of these Boxter Spyders back in 2010 when I was getting my old Turbo serviced at the Porsche Dealer in Edinburgh and remember thinking they looked cool and retro. I had the V8 Vantage for just over 2 years and fancied a change, particularly for something unlikely to depreciate much, if at all.
Mega thanks to George for helping me out looking for the best spec and answering endless PM's
So, low miles, one owner, manual, short-shift, spyder alloys, sports chrono, sports exhaust, carbon bucket seats, alcantera interior pack,
I love the rear 3/4 view. Ok, it isn't a Lotus and I am not likely to end up on track in it but it should be a bit of fun for a sunny day. Roof is a bit of a farce tho

Love it!
Enjoying it so far? A bit more characterful than the turbo?

Is the engine under the boot lid? Agree with the retro look, though it's a shame that they need those hoops behind the seats. Is it white or more cream coloured? Fantastic looking car in any case - you'll love it, I bet!
Cheers,
Robin

It is very white, the pictures (err the photographer) just isn't very good.
I have only driven it back home from Yorkshire and given it a wash, but even tho it was chucking down with rain all the way and the flimsy roof was on, it was already far more engaging than the Turbo. To be fair, the roof was fine and kept the rain out but the wind noise over about 65mph was enough that you couldn't really live with it as a daily "feature"
The engine is somewhere in the back, but you actually can't see it. There is a compartment for storing the bits of the roof and a fairly big boot area. There is another big boot area in the front so it borders on being semi practical I guess.

Those seats look fantastic, reason enough for them to fold!

Yup, that rings a bell. That's certainly how they do it on my 360 Spider, and I just had a look and there are access panels into the mechanical stuff behind the seats.

I'm not the biggest fan of porches, however, having had a good nosey around George's spider, it really does hit the mark. Very nice Jim! Looks like a great choice

Change the belts through a hatch behind the seats

That is a seriously nice car! Great buy, can't help but think a GT4 is the safest place to have cash these days, seems to be well loved by all who get near it! The spyder is cool and I'm sure epic depreciation free motoring especially in that spec
